Listed below are some of the things that I am working on and planning for future versions of the SPi-V engine.
- 1.0 (released)
- Inital released version
- 1.1 (released)
- Shockwave 8.5 support
- 1.2 (released Jan 22nd)
- The black lines issue
- Improved support for partial panoramas
- Dynamically loading/unloading nodes
- Preview layers
- Preloading scene resources
- (Directional) sound support
- Preliminary animated texture support
Version 1.2, which is slated to be released 'real soon now', will coincide with a long overdue documentation update.
Additional big news is that I am working on supporting QuicktimeVR files. While I previously said that SPi-V isn't likely to gain qtvr support natively, I am working on a server-side solution that will convert a Quicktime VR mov to a SPi-V XML file on the fly. The only requirement for the server will be support for php.
