Xtras and Shockwave 11 (Director MX 2004 and Director 11) ?

Aldo,
Should I update Xtras folder when I want to create a CD with a project designed in Director MX 2004 with SPi-V panoramas?
I ask because I see a new Shockwave Player 11 (I updated it on my computer a few days ago).
Please could you write more about differences in creating a CD/DVD in director MX 2004 and director 11 (of course with SPi-V).
I created Xtras folder a few years ago according to your article. Should I update it according to the new software?
I also don't have Vista on my computer. Will my presentation created in Dir MX 2004 work on Vista? Or should I convert files using Dir 11?

Re: Xtras and Shockwave 11 (Director MX 2004 and Director 11) ?
Currently, unless you need eg unicode support in your Director projects, I would recommend against using SPi-V with Director 11. Director 11 has a new text rendering engine to support unicode, and frankly I find it renders text horrendously; ugly rendering of glyphs (bad, or hardly any antialiasing), and rather slow.
When you create a projector from a movie in Director 11, the appropriate Xtras can be included automatically, no need to gather them manually. The list of Xtra files I showed before are used only to make the executable SPi-V viewers independent of Shockwave 10. Always use the Shockwave 10 versions of these files with the viewers from the downloads page (untill I say otherwise).
